Special Issue Proposals:

The journal of RESM is open to proposals for special issues on emerging related topics. More info is here.

Our journal, which aims to be a significant part of the scientific community in its related areas, seeks for new team members in various positions, such as: editor, editorial board member, copyeditor, language editor.

RESM is a non-profit organization and does not charge fees to authors or readers. Thus, there is no financial remuneration available for any editorial position in our journal.

RESM does not enforce editors or other journal members to publish or recommend articles to the journal, and does not ask for any financial contribution from them.

Enthusiasm is not less important than academic titles. Therefore, we would like to specify that younger and enthusiastic researchers at earlier stages of their career have also an important chance to be selected.

Descriptions of the positions in editorial procedures:

The editors perform editorial tasks given by the editor in chief like; deciding if the new submissions have adequate quality to initiate further editorial processes, finding suitable reviewers, final acceptance/rejection evaluation based on reviewer reports, etc.

Editorial board members provide guidance by preparing review reports for submissions.

Copyeditors deal with the formatting of the articles and compliance to the journal style and scientific writing procedures.

Language editors examine and correct papers for proper use of English.

Also, we would like to accept all our team members as a part of the RESM family and see them as representatives to help the promotion and advertisement of the journal.

Provided advantages:

This position offers excellent experience in an academic publishing environment, as well as opportunity for greater interaction with scholars working in related research areas. In this sense editors may have the following advantages:

  • Greater familiarity with ongoing research in your field
  • Greater visibility within your research community
  • Having an impact on the scientific studies in your field
  • Acknowledgement of your expertise and leadership within a subject
  • Positive effect for promotion and grant applications

Required qualifications:

  • Good  communication skills; fluent English (especially written)
  • Self-motivated and self-managed; ability to meet deadlines
  • Desire to contribute to the improvement of the journal and follow editorial rules
  • A cheerful attitude and ability to work with other editors and management
  • Familiarity with demands/criteria of academic publishing
  • Addressed in a region from Europa, America and Austrilia continents (for the time being, see below)

Application & Evaluation Process:

This call has no specific termination date. However, the geographical distribution of the journal members are important. Therefore, applications from Europa, America and Austrilia continents are most welcome. For other regions, as we already have sufficient members in the board, we cannot accept the applications for the present time period.

If you are interested in this opportunity, please forward a CV and short cover letter to editor.jresm@gmail.com. State the positions you want to participate (may be more than one) in your application. Please direct questions, if any, to the same address.
