The reviewers are the anonymous heroes of the publishing society. Reviewing manuscripts is not an easy task but it is critical to the advancement of scientific knowledge. Even if authors take credit for publishing papers, the recognition of the reviewers are highly limited for their work. Therefore, our journal announces the reviewers that participated in editorial processes of the submitted articles in a yearly basis.

Now, we expand our efforts to appreciate the valuable contribution of our reviewers and start to give 2 types of reviewer awards: Excellence in Review Awards and Outstanding Reviewer Awards.

The Editorial Committee will determine and give these awards starting by the end of the 2022. The criteria used for the Excellence in Review Awards selection is based mainly on quality of the review report. Timeliness and quantity will also be considered in selection.

Our journal covers different branches of science to a certain extent. Additionally, reports from different reviewers may have different qualities making it hard to differentiate. Solid decisions in selecting the best among them may not be possible or fair. Therefore, we would like to generally give at least 3 Excellence in Review Awards without any prioritization. The number may increase based on the advices from the Editors. The award winners will be given related certificates and announced in the journal website for at least 5 years.

The Outstanding Reviewer Awards is given to the reviewers based on the number of reviews done in a certain time of interval.

Peer-reviews support the basis of scientific communication and provide accuracy and validation for published articles. The Journal Editorial Team would like to warmly acknowledge the time and energy that reviewers have dedicated. Preserving the high quality of the journal and quick processing are only possible by their valuable efforts.

In year 2022, around 400 reviews are performed by roughly 200 reviewers. Award winners for 2022 are listed below. We thank and congratulate the winners and wish them a continued success.
